Loudoun County residents and business owners are invited to help shape the future of transit in Loudoun County by attending a public workshop on the Loudoun County Transit Plan from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, in the Ida Lee Recreation Center Social Hall, 60 Ida Lee Drive in Leesburg.
The Transit Plan will shape public transportation infrastructure, investment and alternatives for the next 20 years. The plan will include proposed service alternatives, such as new routes, hours and facilities, to enhance transit services in Loudoun. The plan will establish goals and objectives for how best to meet the anticipated growing need for transit services.
County staff, the Transit Plan Advisory Committee and the transportation consultants working with the county to develop the plan will be available at the workshop to provide information on current transit services, share data about transit ridership and to seek comments on future service alternatives.
For more information about the Loudoun County Transit Plan, visit www.loudouncountytransitplan.com. If you are unable to attend the workshop, but would like to provide comments on transit service alternatives you can enter your remarks on the comment form located on the transit plan Web site.
With questions or to speak to county staff, call Sharon Affinito in the Office of Transportation Services at 703-771-5251.
