Virginia Telework Day A Success
Governor Kaine recently announced that on Telework Day, August 3, Virginia teleworkers saved approximately $113,000, avoided driving 140,000 miles and removed 75.89 tons of pollutants from the air. More than 2,200 federal and private sector employees and more than 1,700 state employees participated in Telework Day, which was a component of Governor Kaine’s Executive Order 82 to reduce executive branch agencies’ impacts on the environment.
