of a Loudoun woman.
Shortly after 9 p.m. last night, Tuesday, May 11, Loudoun Sheriff's
Deputies responded to the scene of a crash in the area of Hill High
Orchard. One of the vehicles involved in the crash landed in a pond.
Three Loudoun Sheriff's Deputies entered the water and with the
assistance from a member of the Metropolitan Washington Airports
Authority Fire/Rescue Department they removed the victim from the
submerged vehicle.
The driver was taken to a local hospital where she passed away. A
passenger was ejected from the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was also
treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Loudoun Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit are
investigating and will release more details as they become available.
