A new schedule for Loudoun County?s Tysons Express bus service will go into effect on Monday, April 4.
The new schedule combines two of the current early morning buses that have had low ridership. It also adds a bus that departs later in the morning in response to requests for a later departure time. There are no changes to the afternoon schedule. The highlights of the new morning schedule are:
- The TC1 and TC2 are being combined into one bus, departing Leesburg at 5:54 a.m. and departing the Broadlands Park and Ride lots at 6:05 a.m. and 6:10: a.m. The remaining morning departure times do not change.
- The new later bus departs the Leesburg Park & Ride Lot at 9 a.m., the Broadlands Market Place at 9:11 a.m., and the Broadlands Park and Ride Lot at 9:16 a.m., and will drop off at all 18 stops in Tysons, also serving the Tysons Corner Center.
The Tysons Express bus service offers Loudoun County residents an opportunity to avoid the congestion experienced by most motorists traveling to the Tysons Corner area and to improve transportation from Loudoun to Tysons during construction of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project.
All buses are equipped with electronic fareboxes that accept SmarTrip cards or cash. Passenger fares are $3.00 with a SmarTrip card or $3.50 cash. The buses feature free WIFI.
