Survey Work Begins for Silver Line Along Greenway

The Ashburn Patch reported this week that Loudoun County residents will start seeing construction workers along the Greenway as survey work and testing begins for the second phase of the Silver Line project.

"While construction will not begin in earnest until sometime next year, much preliminary work is underway on the second phase of Metro’s Silver Line, which will extend the line from Wiehle Avenue in Reston to Dulles Airport and Ashburn.

"Anyone driving along the Dulles Greenway may have seen Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project Phase 2 crews out this week as they expanded their survey and geotechnical testing work onto the Greenway in Loudoun County this week, according to project representatives.
