The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising Loudoun County residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.
Public safety officials ask motorists to be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
- A 5k run will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the area of Freedom High School in the South Riding area. Roads impacted include Riding Center Drive, Donegal Drive, Freedom Street, and the trail parallel to Tall Cedars Parkway.
- A festival will take place at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds in the Leesburg area on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Expect increased traffic on Dry Mill Road.
- A festival will take place at One Loudoun on Saturday in the Ashburn area between 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Roads impacted include Loudoun County Parkway, Russell Branch Parkway and Exchange Street.
