Loudoun County officials announce that phased lane closures on Belmont Ridge Road between Route 7 (Harry Byrd Highway) and Riverside Parkway will take place throughout June and part of July. The lane closures are required for utility relocation work performed by Washington Gas. The closures are scheduled to occur in three phases over a six-week period.
The phases are as follows:
Motorists are advised to watch for signage about the lane closures.

- Phase 1, June 1-11: One south-bound lane of Belmont Ridge Road, between Promenade Drive and Route 7, will be closed with the other south-bound lane remaining open. Both north-bound lanes will remain open.
- Phase 2, June 12-30: One south-bound lane, between Promenade Drive and Route 7, and one north-bound lane, between Route 7 and Promenade Drive, will be closed with one south-bound lane and one north-bound lane remaining open.
- Phase 3, July 1-15: Both south-bound lanes will be open. One north-bound lane, between Route 7 and Promenade Drive, will be closed with the other north-bound lane remaining open.
