The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.
Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
- A homecoming parade today, Friday, October 9, for Stone Bridge High School may impact traffic on Portsmouth Boulevard and Claiborne Parkway in the area of the high school between 4 - 6 p.m.
- A parade in Sterling may impact traffic on Laurel Avenue, Sterling Boulevard and Holly Avenue between 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, October 10.
- Also, a festival in Sterling may impact traffic on Commerce Street and Enterprise Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
- Also on Saturday, a festival near Waterford may impact traffic on Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) between Route 704 (Harmony Church Road) and Route 287 (Berlin Turnpike) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- And on Sunday, Oct. 11, a march may impact traffic on Route 7 in the area of the Lansdowne Town Center to Belmont Ridge Road from 1 -4 p.m.
