The westbound lanes of Gloucester Parkway between Loudoun County Parkway and Ashby Ponds/Smith Switch Road are scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m., Friday, March 11, until 5 a.m., Monday, March 14.
The temporary road closure is necessary to allow utility work associated with the Gloucester Parkway project which extends Gloucester Parkway between Loudoun County Parkway and Pacific Boulevard.
The detour route for westbound Gloucester Parkway will be:
Loudoun County is funding the Gloucester Parkway project, which is being administered by the Virginia Department of Highways. VDOT awarded a design/build contract to the project team of Dewberry/Shirley Contracting. Construction began in December 2014 and is scheduled to be completed by August.

- From northbound Loudoun County Parkway: Take a left onto Marblehead Drive. Turn right onto Gloucester Parkway.
- From southbound Loudoun County Parkway: Turn right onto Marblehead Drive. Turn right onto Gloucester Parkway.
